The Houston Business Journal recently named Dr. Bryan as one of Houston’s top surgeons for knee replacements based on a national study reviewing more than 16,000 surgeons nationwide along with 3,575 hospitals.
The research, compiled by nonprofit ProPublica, was gathered using Medicare payment data from 2009 to 2013. It looked at eight common elective surgeries performed typically on healthy patients. They reported using an adjusted complication rate to discover where a surgeon falls.
Dr. Bryan was one of only a handful of physicians named in the article. He attributes his success to years of experience, attention to detail and strong patient communication. “I can’t overstate the importance of the patient’s role in their recovery. Properly preparing patient’s for a successful surgery and rehabilitation are essential for a healthy recovery.”
